A rabbit lived, died, and was buried.

From the dirt, a cabbage grew, died, and was buried.

From the ground, a tree grew and lived.

The tree contained the dead rabbit and the cabbage.

After the tree died, it turned to dirt and provided the world another rabbit.

The drawing and story above are representations of what I value. Through painting and printmaking, I explore my experiences and imagination within this story. The tale reveals meaning about the circle of life, fertilization, and interdependence of every life form on earth. The connections and transformations indicate that all living creature dwells on the earth in perfect harmony.

Inspired by serious environmental issues and global degradation, my recent work depicts these characters in gloomy and apocalyptic landscapes. The reason is that our prosperity comes from the cost of nature and this will threaten our future and survival.

Most of my work have stories with several symbols such as fire, water, smoke, or fish representing my experiences and imaginations. The stories have been described as disturbing images with fragmented figures, plastic shards, and charcoal powder. These images are a part of our lives as a shadow and they push the viewers to know about the situation. Creating artwork is the extension of my prayer for symbiosis, hope, and a warning to humanity.
